I am a full-stack software engineer with experience in React, TypeScript/JavaScript, Next.js, Express, SQL, HTML/CSS, Google Cloud Services, and more. I have a background in education, art/design, and proficiency in Mandarin Chinese. I have a proven track record of learning and implementing new skills quickly and effectively and translating complex topics for non-technical audiences. I love creating intuitive and user-friendly UIs and learning new languages and frameworks! I am ambitious, hardworking, a voracious learner, and eager to grow.
Outside of tech, I have 8+ years experience in education (curriculum development, art history, anthropology, college essay writing, and more), and experience working for non-profits like Charity Navigator and Kehillat Beijing, the oldest expat Jewish community in Beijing. I lived in China for a cumulative 3+ years, where I developed strong Mandarin skills. I am also an accomplished artist and have exhibited in over 22 shows and received over 15 grants, fellowships, and residencies in support of my work. I work in sculpture, installation, stained glass, video, and performance.
